Larry Crowne

I saw the movie, Larry Crowne, on Friday with my mother, my grandmother, and my grandmother's two sisters. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It tells the story of a retired Navy officer, Larry Crowne, who gets fired from his job at UMart (think Walmart) because he hit his peak at the company since he never went to college. Larry then decides to go to college to finally get his degree. While there, he befriends a group in a motor scooter gang who helps to reinvent him. In doing this, Larry gains the confidence to get his life back together. Oh and he falls in love with Julia Roberts, his speech professor, in the course of it all.

This movie was so cute. You'll leave the theater feeling happy. It reminded me why I love Tom Hanks so much! I'm kind of feeling a Tom Hanks marathon now...
